It has been rumored among Swifties online that Taylor Swift would release a documentary sharing her experiences of the hugely popular Eras tour; however, it appears Taylor was one step ahead as she announces a concert film alongside the 6-part docuseries.
The star broke the news to her 281 million followers on Monday, 13th October 2025, saying ‘It was the End of an Era, and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.’ along with the trailer for The End of an Era series and The Eras Tour | The Final Show concert film, which is set to include the full set from her album Tortured Poets Department.
This comes only 10 days after she released her 12th studio album, Life of a Showgirl, on October 3rd, 2025. She recorded the album behind the scenes while performing on her Eras Tour.

The Eras tour, which started in Arizona on 17th March 2023 and spanned across 51 cities in 5 different continents and 149 shows, concluding in Vancouver on 8th December 2024, was a huge phenomenon with over 10 million fans attending, breaking records for attendance and becoming the highest-grossing tour of all time at over 2 billion dollars. What is The End of an Era?
The End of an Era seems to be the final chapter of the tour, as the name aptly suggests, Taylor is even heard saying in the trailer that ‘We broke every single record you can break with this tour,’ she adds. ‘The only thing left is to close the book.’ So, alongside concert footage, The End of an Era is not only going to give fans an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at the tour with footage from planning meetings and rehearsals, but it also presents a rare look into Swift’s life with clips from home videos of young Taylor.
Who will we see in The End of an Era?
From the trailer, we see that both Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter will be included as the two artists were opening acts for Taylor on the tour; surprise guests Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch will also be featured in the series. We also saw several cameos from Travis Kelce, Taylor’s fiancé, which suggests the docuseries will give fans a glimpse into their relationship. Likewise, Taylor’s parents will also feature in the series as the pair spent time during the tour interacting with Swifties at the shows.
What is The Eras Tour | The Final Show?
The accompanying surprise concert film, The Eras Tour | The Final Show It will be the first time that fans see filmed material of the tour after songs from Taylor’s The Tortured Poets Department album were added to the setlist from 9th May 2024, since the previous 2023 Eras tour concert film came out before the album was released.

For the uninitiated, this is not Taylor’s first filmed release. In addition to the first Eras tour film in 202,3, Taylor has released films for both her Reputation and 1989 tours. She has also released 2 documentaries, Miss Americana and Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions, in 2020, both on Disney+.
When is the series set to be released, and where can you watch?
The series will be released on Disney+ on 12 December 2025, ahead of the star’s 36th birthday. The first two will be released first, with the remaining four episodes released in pairs every two weeks.
