We love a good luxury product. Luxury in how it’s made, in the ingredients or the nature of them, quality in the mindset, the view point, the branding etc.

We fell in love today with Skin Elixir. Founded by Shona Munro the handmade, 100% natural, organic, vegan, cruelty-free, skincare line is made in small batches in Nottingham. It is a one woman brand.

We like the name. We like the fact that it is sustainably being made in small batches. We like that it is handmade, cruelty free, vegan and organic.

We are enamoured by the Organic Frankincense & May Chang Moisturiser. It is a face moisturiser. See it in image two. We reached out to Shona to ask her about it. Please read on for more on it and the Skin Elixir line.

“2 minutes a day to your best skin yet….

I started to develop Skin Elixir in 2016, after years of searching for skincare that was not only ethical, but also effective for my skin’s needs.

I was self-conscious about dryness and flaky patches on my face. Make-up and concealer only seemed to worsen the problem areas. I wanted to improve the health of my skin and feel better about myself. As a busy solo mum of twins I didn’t have the time for a complicated skincare solution I wanted a product I could trust to transform my skin. This is what I created with the Organic Frankincense & May Chang Moisturiser. My friends loved it and Skin Elixir was born from there. 

Day and night application of the Skin Elixir moisturiser has helped me to feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to share that confidence with others.

Made by hand in small batches, my mission is to bring kindness to your skin and to give you the best in handmade, organic, luxurious multi-tasking skincare products. Skin Elixir soothes, smooths, reduces fine lines, and evens skin tone. It can also help address rosacea, eczema and acne. Skin Elixir has a discerning customer base who believe in the principles of the brand and the effectiveness of the products. Skin Elixir is now 5 products strong and multi award winning with one more product launching next month. Running this business is multi faceted as I create and then make everything by hand and run the business day to day yet it affords me that all important time with the twins who are nearly 9 – I get to take them and pick them up from school something a conventional job would be hard pressed to afford.”
