Best Dressed Baftas 2023
The BAFTAs 2023 have given us wonder and glory as the stars descended to London for the esteemed event. Held at London’s Royal Festival Hall, the 76th BAFTAs was hosted by Richard E. Grant. It was a truly memorable night with Cate Blanchett who shone, winning the award for Best Actress. On the red carpet there were many an incredible moment with celebrity style at its very best.
As is always the case with the The British Academy Film Awards, this was the best in glamorous A-List red carpet style.
Here are some of our favourites.
Jodie Turner-Smith
Jodie continues her reign as red carpet style icon. Wearing Gucci, Jodie’s beauty for the night was just as remarkable as her feathered purple gown.
Florence Pugh
Pugh is known for her bold red carpet look which is brought together by her gown choices, hair and beauty. The art like gown with ruffles that she wore for this edition of the BAFTAs is in keeping with her ability to take command of the red carpet. We love the structure and texture of this Nina Ricci gown.
Kate Middleton
Kate took our breath away with this Alexander McQueen as worn with black opera length gloves. Attending with husband Prince William Kate gets bonus points for not only the glamour that this look exudes but the fact that she continues to champion responsible fashion by re-wearing items from her wardrobe. She originally wore this gown at the BAFTAs in 2019. This is the proof that repeating a look is not a faux pas.
Cynthia Erivo
Cynthia Erivo is always one to watch on the red carpet. In an interview with her stylist Jason Bolden some years ago we were made to understand that all that we see of her style wise is completely ‘all Cynthia’. With this look Cynthia takes on the otherworldly with Louis Vuitton incredible bronze gown. Texture seems to be one of the trends this year at the BAFTAs.
Michelle Yeoh
Nominated for the category of Best Actress, Michelle Yeoh wore the most chic look of the night. Dressed in a beautiful caped trouser suit from Dior haute couture, Michelle exuded effortless elegance and sophistication.
Sheila Atim
Sheila Atim stunned in Prada. The silver foil gown with gloves was as perfect as Sheila is perfect. Hers is an otherworldly stature and presence. The jewels were Chopard.
Lily James
Perfection is this vision that was Lily in Tamara Ralph. The gown is exquisite; the colour, the detail at back and and that bodice! We love how Lily wore her hair back, the jewels and even her choice of lip colour. This is certainly one of the starriest BAFTA red carpet look ever.
