Beyoncé Accepts Innovator Award At 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Many have called Beyoncé an innovator with some of her enthusiast comparing her innovation in music to the likes of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson. Well this sentiment have now been etched into time as on Monday April 1st 2024 Beyoncé accepted the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2024. Presented to her by Stevie Wonder at the Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre,Beyoncé thanked Wonder for being her innovator icons alongside Michael Jackson, Linda Martell, Prince, Tracy Chapman, André 3000, Tina Turner and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
About innovation as she received the award she is quoted as saying…
“Innovation starts with a dream, but then you have to execute that dream and that road can be very bumpy,” she continued. “Being an innovator is saying what everyone believes is impossible. Being an innovator often means being criticized, which often will test your mental strength. Being an innovator is leaning on faith and trusting that God will catch you and guide you. So, to all the record labels, every radio station, every award show, my hope is that we’re more open to the joy and liberation that comes from enjoying art, with no preconceived notions.”
