Discover Manuel Dreesmann

There is an independent leather products atelier based in Barcelona Spain that we have to share with you today!
Manuel Dreesmann and its Atelier Madre inspires wonder! Founded by Manuel Dreesmann it will fill with awe whilst inspiring you to restructure how you do fashion. Employing sustainable practices such as sourcing from the best local suppliers, minimizing packaging, local production, making products that age with pride, Atelier Madre handcrsfts exclusive leather products using traditional methods that are exclusively sold directly from their workbench.
We love that they have cut out the middleman, producing exceptional well crafted products using premium materials (think Vachetta, Calf, Novillo and Cow leather) produced fairly at affordable price.
Since 2018 Manuel Dreesmann has become synonymous with an ethos of quality, sustainability and exclusivity.
These leather goods produced from premium materials as sourced from local suppliers made directly from the Manuel Dreesmann workbench are special. These are the best of minimalism and geometry. The design codes of the house result in small leather gooods, bags, home products and Macbook and Ipad sleeves that are the meeting place of classic minimalistic German design with the modernity of organic geometric structure.

The bag range is one of our favourite lines from this atelier. From the Karin large tote bagas seen above made from one piece of leather (their bags each come in a range of colour options, the strap lengths can be customised on request and the bags can be personalised with your initials) to their Saka woven bag as below these are accessories that will stand the test of trends due to their timeless design.

Also worthy of a mention is their dreamy SeaLife collection. It boasts a line-up of truly special bags inspired by the beauty of the ocean. Featuring an exploration of ornamental structures, these designs are composed of multiple elements (with an option of a patchwork of colour palette) that feature brass rivets. There is the crescent shaped Mako bag, the Nema bag a bucket style shape, the Puff bag which delightfully as its name suggests is a round puff shape made of multiple elements attached to each by brass rivets like all the other bags in the SeaLife range.

For their sustainable practice, the fact that their goods are handmade directly from their workshop in Barcelona, their affordable price range, the range of colour palette available per each product, the timeless minimalistic organic form, we crown Manuel Dreesmann our favourite leather good atelier of the year.
