Grammy Awards 2024 Best Dressed
This past year we have finally seen a resurgence of fun and eclectic red carpet looks and the 2024 Grammy’s reinstated the fashion playground. With classic timeless pieces followed by excessive drama (especially Khosrov flooring all the looks), this award season has it all.
I have never seen such a variety in showstopper looks, especially with custom pieces and bridal looks truly ruling the red carpet and to narrow them down is a crime but can be done, so here are our 10 best dressed.
Summer Walker
MATT WINKELMEYER/GETTY
Summer Walker’s ensemble was our first hint of the bridal theme, yet her look felt incredibly angelic with full feather dress with a beaded train- if this was not enough, she paired this dress with a matching feather hat and was the drama we needed on the red carpet.
Olivia Rodrigo
DAVID FISHER/SHUTTERSTOCK
Seen in an archive beaded Versace dress (first worn by Linda Evangelista), she is embracing a more mature and timeless silhouette.
Miley Cyrus
MATT WINKELMEYER/GETTY
Miley Cyrus has consistently worn controversial outfits on the red carpet and no surprise again this year introduces one of her most talked about looks yet. In head-to-toe custom Margiela, this was such a beautiful piece with meticulous details of 14,000 gold safety pins placed in a way to look like undergarments. This year, Margiela has loved to entrench 1920’s hints in his work, seen during fashion week and now on the red carpet, I hope this motif continues.
Dua Lipa
LESTER COHEN/GETTY
Again, with a twisted classic silhouette, Dua Lipa channelled Joan of Arc in a Courreges deep plunge gown with metal textures, a refreshing continuation of the metallic looks she rocks.
Ice Spice
KEVIN MAZUR/GETTY
In classic Ice Spice fashion, we saw a fur and denim co-ord by Baby Phat, nodding to the ongoing resurgence of y2k fashion.
Maluma
MATT WINKELMEYER/GETTY
The boring black suit is always a fear on the red carpet and Maluma proved that a suit does not have to be boring. Showcasing a Dolce and Gabbana piece with Jacob and Co jewellery, the typical black suit was elevated to a chic ensemble.
Ayra Starr
GILBERT FLORES
Ayra Star took a risk in a blue tulle Candice Cuoco gown and the risk paid off- with a consistent monotone pallet this year, it was refreshing to see some fun and playfulness in still cohesive manner.
Dawn Richards
UNKNOWN
Dawn Richard’s red Khosrov dress was a celebration of growth, beauty and drama and framed her face so carefully that it was clear that every element of this dress had a story, and it was beautiful to see this unfold.
Victoria Monet
KEVIN MAZUR/GETTY
Corset detailing, a bronze sheen, structure- Victoria Monet’s Versace gown had it all and looked completely breath-taking.
Taylor Swift
MATT WINKELMEYER/GETTY
Unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift attended in an incredible white Schiaparelli gown with opera gloves and a wide slit, nodding to the release of her new album and was a smart and calculated move alongside the beauty of the dress.
