For her appearance at ‘The Storm’ movie premiere at Ghana’s Silverbird Cinemas award winning actress, TV presenter and producer Ama K. Abebrese Goodwill Ambassador for UN Migration looked like a vision!
Wearing a white concoction comprising of a white tutu skirt with the perfect amount of volume and a white long sleeved draped torso that was just as delicate and ethereal as the bottom half of the look. Her accessories were kept to an elegant minimal with a nude strappy heel and pared back jewellery. Her braided bun updo simultaneously works with her ladylike whilst like the makeup by Selina Asante adds a touch of memorable personality to the overall look.
Ama ever the style icon and style muse looked elegant and fashion forward and this white look reminds us of her stunning white and black gown (by JU-NNA the London based Japansese brand) that she wore to host London’s Glomama Awards in 2023. White is obviously her colour so are glad to see her in it again!
She was at the Silverbird Cinemas for the premiere of ‘The Storm’, Ben Owusu’s film in which she stars. If you know anything about Ama, one thing we are sure you know is that she is an incredibly talented seasoned actress and producer. The award winning thespian’s credits include Hollywood hit ‘Beasts of No Nation’ by Cary Fukunaga co-starring Idris Elba and Blitz Bazawule of last year’s ‘The Color Purple’ film ‘The Burial of Kojo’ which Ama starred in, narrated and also co-produced. Simply put at Story Magazine we love Ama K Abebrese movies!
Her new film – ‘The Storm’ by Ben Owusu also stars the incredible lineup of Adjetey Anang, Samini, Salma Mumin, Edward Agyakum Kuffuor, Edinam Atatsi, Fiifi Coleman and Luckie Lawson.
It is centered around a city in Africa which sees crime get out of control. Owusu takes you into an underbelly of kidnapping, murder, corruption where there are only a few willing to fight for justice; Detective Danso (Adjetey Anang) and Detective Lynn (Ama K. Abebrese) who are the only non corrupt members of their law enforcement team and Milly (Luckie Lawson) who takes up social advocacy protecting the youth against crime. This is a fight with pace and heart to combat corruption and crime.
Given the thrilling nature of the story and stellar cast (the Ama and Adjetey Anang pairing? We need no further convincing to watch this) this movie is one to go and see in cinemas.
‘The Storm’ is in Silverbird cinemas in Accra Ghana now with details here and will premiere in the UK on 12th October 2024. Watch the premiere here.
We loved what Ama wore to the Accra premiere. Red carpet fashion wise, she is certainly one to continue to watch. Follow her style moves and work here. We are certain it will keep you inspired.
