Rokh X H&M The Highstreet Collaboration

The much-awaited highstreet collaboration ROKH and H&M is just around the corner. Rok Hwang: The Creative Director of ROKH is all set with his offbeat elegance, right shade of beige and Korean fashion to dazzle the most anticipated collaboration with H&M. This collaboration will be embraced in womenswear, menswear, and accessories, and will be launched in selected stores and online at hm.com on 18 April. The upcoming collection will embrace just the right potion of the mixtures of vintage silhouettes which will be not too formal but imparts the K-drama vibes.
He is well known and truly conquered the Parisian fashion scene by presenting his collections during the ready-to-wear Fashion Week. With his labels marked with “0000” – “0000”;, Hwang revolutionized the aspect of seasonality and trends by reimagining a capsule wardrobe with signature style elements.
In the last interview with VOGUE FRANCE, Ann-Sofie Johansson (Head of Design, H&M), confessed that it was a treat to work with ROK. They met in Stockholm during their early development and production phase of this much anticipated collaboration. Rok emphasized on cuts and patterns and the wonderful skilled workforce behind the artistic manifestations.
The collection will embody ROK vision of light weight, waterproof materials with curiously positioned pockets! It’s a modular fashion statement with reinventing trench coats or a cape, imbibing punk spirit with the belts, the hardware spirit, and the eyelets making the classic trench little more interesting fitting into business casual aesthetics. The ensemble has transparent bag, so that everyone can really enjoy them! As stated by ROK in the last interview with VOGUE FRANCE. “There are many easy-to-wear pieces, and at the same time, we also designed really beautiful jewelry to complement the looks, in both gold and silver.” Rok added. H&M seamlessly matched with the aesthetics of ROKH as it has broader affinity towards experimentation, open-minded, interested, and curious.
He has a varied cultural background, being born in S. Korea and raised in Texas, started designing in
London, and then came to Paris which ultimately persuaded H&M to collaborate with ROKH. The fall on the body, the cuts and the stitch together make a breathtaking fit and style for both the labels.
