This red carpet saw drama, fun and classic’s all in one night and although the gowns were showstoppers, the makeup department did not slack either.
Metallic eyes were seen from Dua Lipa, Fantasia Barrino and Chloë, perfectly mirroring their dresses and bronzed makeup. With Dua’s Joan of Arc ensemble, seeing that the makeup element had not been neglected was extremely reassuring and elevated her incredible look even further. The shimmery eyes were predominantly seen in the early 2000s yet with more pinks and blues- could this be a resurgence of more toned down yet fun eyeshadow looks?

Another Margiela and Pat McGrath collaboration was seen with Miley Cyrus in custom Margiela, voluminous hair and a radiant face. The duo never fail to disappoint, and Cyrus was the perfect canvas for both showstoppers.

Soft glam is IN! Although we saw plenty of dramatic eye looks, these were paired with a natural base, fluffy eyebrows and plenty of bronzer and did not take away from any the gowns in the slightest and was complimentary to the drama. Minimalist makeup and maximalist gowns was one of my particularly favourite reoccurring themes and these classic makeup looks will be timeless, so take a risk with the gown.
Olivia Rodrigo wowed in a bold, old Hollywood red lip and deviated from the natural lips we have seen. With Olivia’s gown this was the perfect choice and with her Marilyn Monroe esque silhouette, it was undeniable that a red lip would be fitting.

Every look had a particular glow about them and seeing many celebrities embracing their natural features and signature styles, their makeup was a wonderful myriad of dainty and drama.
