The Making | ‘Esaso’ Dress in ‘Your Mother’ print by Osei Duro
Today we share with you the making of gorgeous print in a perfect shape for spring or summer. Osei Duro make wonderful pieces all produced in Ghana. They make the fabric by hand by different print or paint methods. Today we see the making of one of their easy to wear dresses called ‘Esaso’ in a print called ‘Your Mother’.
Founded in 2011, the ptoject has seen somewhat an experiment. Founders Maryanne Mathias and Molly Keogh have made a sustainable line, sourcing most of their fabrics which then get hand printed, stamped with Batik, tye & dye etc. They explore these print techniques on unexpected fabrics like silk. Using local artisans, their work is simple designs in fabrics worked on by them.
Today they share the making of their ‘Esaso’ dress in a print cslled ‘Your Mother’.
