At the Christian Siriano fall/winter 2024 NYFW show, models walked down the runway in Dune-inspired “celestial space buns” from Tresemmé partnered with the designer and celebrity stylist Lacy Redway. THIS TIME TATTOOS ARE IN THE HAIR
JOAQUIN CASTILLO
At the Collina Strada Fall/winter 2024 NYFW show there was a collaboration with Bumble and Bumble artistic ambassador Evanie Frausto to create ethereal and maximalist hair tattoos. The inspirations trace back to metal band theme, Frausto which inspired thus manifested into models slicked-back, tight, shine hair using Bumble and Bumble’s Bb.gel and Holding Spray. The stick-ons hair can be a realistic marketing thing for the upcoming trend for every other make-up and hair styling enthusiasts to try on at their home and dazzle the party.
NAILS AND DOLLS LOOK-ALIKE
CND
The renowned nail artist Jin Soon at the backstage of Marc Jacobs’ fall/winter 24 NYFW show, took to Instagram to share a close-up look at the “doll-like” manicures that graced the runways. The dolling up of nails start by filing them into a short, rounded shape followed by shellac or shell-like manicures using CND’s glossy opaque glass like hues: Bare Chemise, Satin Pajamas and Field Fox. She kept the nails sheer, glossy and glazy and as natural as BIAB curated as possible. It’s a juxtapose of opacity and glossiness.
AIRBRUSHED YET NATURAL LIPS
VICTOR VIRGILE
Minimalism as a movement is getting stronger whilst maximalism gained momentum when Kim Shui makeup artist Romero Jennings went romantic and moody, expressing the maximalist ‘90s glam. He went in for a glossy lip with an airbrushed effect and bold thick outer lines of contrast colour. MAC’s Lip Pencil in the black-plum Nightmoth shade lined the extravagant pouts filled by Silky Matte Lipstick and finishing off with clear lip gloss.
IT’S ALL IN THE METALLIC EYES
JASON WU
The golden metallic eye was the epicenter of the NYFW season as seen at Jason Wu. The look can be recreated by Jason Wu Beauty’s Jewel Stick in Gold Pearl and Celestial Lust in Jane Doe. Ulla Johnson featured silver chrome eyes also and this represent the industrial world we all dwell in with a maximalist touch to it. A similar finish can be achieved by using Haus Labs Hy-Power Eye, Cheek & Lip Pigment Paint in Silver Shimmer or Armani Beauty Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid eyeshadow in silver hues. The all total silver eyeshadow with organic patterns encircling the eye lids create a celestial effect and can be paired up with gold dusted sleek bun hairdo.
