Doja Cat Is First Black Female Rapper To Headline Coachella

This weekend Doja Cat became the second Black woman to headline Coachella and the first Black female rapper to headline it. Her guest stars were A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage and a giant recreation of a T-Rex fossil.
She wore an all hazmat suit then matched her uber long white blonde wig with a hair tunic. There was also a shaggy bikini set. Her background dancers were in full hair suits and looked like dancing yetis.
Her set was purely rap focused on material from her ‘Scarlet’ release.
Aside from a Tyrannosaurus skeleton that chased Doja Cat on the walkaways, another performance prop included a mud pit that that Doja and her dancers got dirty in.
If there was any debate as to whether Doja Cat was a big enough star to headline the Coachella stage it was squashed by her set performance.
