Adidas x Simone Rocha: All You Need To Know

On the third day of Fashion Week, February 22, Simone Rocha leant her Irish mythicism to Adidas Originals, delivering a gorgeous collaboration between the two brands. With Adidas having such a popular moment right now, the timing couldn’t feel more right. In an era defined by hybrid wardrobes, it’s interesting to see luxury and sport combine so seamlessly. The partnership highlights why sportswear continues to dominate the fashion conversation and reflects the way people actually dress and express themselves today. Leaning slightly away from the full romance she’s known and loved for, this is a collab that fuses performance heritage with Rocha’s unmistakable femininity.

It’s the kind of collaboration bound to take over the minds of fashion insiders and Instagram users alike. The 60-look Autumn/Winter 2026 collection carried subtle football undertones, softened by girly flourishes of ruffles, bows and pearls. It felt like a redefinition of what athleticwear can look like in 2026.

The audience gathered in North London at the Alexandra Palace Theatre to view Rocha’s latest collection. She said herself that she wanted the venue to feel “stripped back” because of the intricate and romantic nature of the pieces. Against that minimal setting, models walked out in looks that blended archival sports silhouettes with couture-level embellishment, speaking to the heritage of both brands. Rather than feeling like a typical logo-led collaboration, the pieces were fully integrated into the collection’s narrative — the sportswear didn’t interrupt Rocha’s world, it became part of it.

The collection spans apparel, footwear and accessories. The highlights include pearl-embellished track tops with sculptural sleeves, ruffled interpretations of the iconic Three Stripes, bloomers and micro shorts, and hybrid ballerina-runner Mary Jane-inspired trainers finished with ribbon laces. Crystal embellishments and bows appeared throughout. The result was a hybrid-looking collection where sport was softened and feminised without losing its edge.

Logos were reimagined too. Instead of simply placing a large Adidas logo across garments, the co-branding felt classy and luxurious. Rocha reworked Adidas’s iconic Trefoil, intertwining it with her “SR” ribbon motif. The logo was embroidered, embellished and entwined in different ways, sometimes obvious and statement-making, other times subtle, but always deliberate.

Although the pairing may seem unexpected, Rocha has spoken about her long-standing connection to athleticwear, recalling how she styled Adidas shorts underneath more romantic, ‘girly’ outfits in her youth. That makes this feel personal rather than purely commercial. At the same time, it’s a strategic move for Adidas as it continues to expand into high-fashion territory with elevated sportswear pieces. It
also introduces Rocha to a wider customer base at a time when Adidas is having a major cultural moment. As she said herself, “Sports are so emotional and I’m a very emotional designer,” which makes the partnership feel like an obvious route for her.

The collection is expected to launch later in 2026 via both Simone Rocha and Adidas channels, with select pieces likely to sell out quickly following the runway buzz. Pricing and exact release dates are yet to be confirmed, but anticipation is already building.

This collab proves that romance can meet sport while still being conceptually rich. And if AW26 showed us anything, it’s that the future of athleticwear might just be beautifully embellished.
