Bag Charms Trend 2025: All You Need to Know

personalized bag accessories

Bag charms trend have become one of the biggest trends of 2025 and they have officially cemented their place as the must-have accessory. They are a full-blown fashion movement. From runways to real life, the number of different styles for everyone’s personalities are changing how we accessorise, turning even the most minimal bags into bold statements.

Bag charms are no longer a trend—they’re a wardrobe essential. With their unique ability to reflect personality, elevate basic bags, and tie an outfit together, they’re here to stay. People’s collections keep on growing and they are such a cool way to make what you wear unique and special.

Bag charms have long existed in fashion, with luxury houses like Louis Vuitton and Hermès offering leather tags and key rings as early as the 1990s. Celebrities and influencers instantly started using them, signalling the start of charms as a serious style statement. Fast forward to 2025, and bag charms are no longer just playful add-ons. They’ve become collectable, customizable, and in many cases, deeply personal expressions of individual style. Social media has played a huge role too.

TikTok and Instagram are filled with “what’s in my bag” videos where charms are often the highlight, leading to a surge in demand across both luxury and high street brands. One example could be the “Jane Birkifying My Bag” where influencers turn their everyday handbag into a lived-in, chic and personality packed accessory just like how Jane Birkin did herself when use to style her iconic Hermes Birkin Bag.

Meanwhile, collaborations have also pushed bag charms into the spotlight. The Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collection introduced painted and mirrored pumpkin charms that became instant collector’s items. Fendi’s partnership with Sarah Coleman saw up-cycled vintage charms reimagined as art pieces, blurring the line between accessory and collectible.

Prada’s Re-Nylon project, for example, included mini pouches and key rings that doubled as charms. Coach partnered with emerging artists to release limited-edition charm capsules, featuring everything from hand-painted leather flowers to cartoonish creatures. Off-White’s industrial tag charms became status symbols, often seen dangling from bags. And Telfar released miniature versions of their iconic shopping bags as clip-on charms.

These limited runs often sell out instantly, with resale markets pricing them like collectibles. All these moments show how bag charms are more than just cute add- ons—they’re cultural currency, the fusion of fashion, identity, and collectability. From high fashion houses to niche small brands, everyone is tapping into the emotional and creative power of these tiny accessories. And with personalisation and storytelling, the bag charm isn’t going anywhere.
