Best Fashion At Met Gala 2024 According To Fashion Experts
On Monday 6th 2024, the Met Gala brought us probably the most memorable fashion of the year. From Zendaya’s two stunning Galliano looks to Jennifer Lopez’s butterfly inspired Schiaparelli gown, there were many incredible fashion moments to be found. In order we cover the gamut of these we spoke to fashion experts on their biggest fashion moments from the night.
This is what they shared…
Jessica Paulo, the founder of luxury footwear brand Jessamiro stated –
“One of the standout looks from the Met Gala that captured my attention was Jennifer Lopez, who looked absolutely stunning in her Schiaparelli ensemble. Her outfit exuded elegance and confidence, perfectly complementing her empowering presence. As I admired her impeccable style, I couldn’t help but envision how beautifully a pair of Jéssamiro shoes would complement her look.
Jéssamiro shoes are known for their superior comfort, style, and empowerment, qualities that resonate strongly with Jennifer Lopez’s persona. Imagine her stepping onto the red carpet in a pair of Jéssamiro shoes, each step radiating grace and sophistication. The shoes, adorned with baguette crystals that add a touch of glamour, would seamlessly blend with her ensemble, elevating her look to new heights.
Jennifer Lopez’s fashion choices have always been bold and iconic, and pairing her Schiaparelli dress with Jéssamiro shoes would be no exception. It would not only enhance her outfit but also accentuate her empowering presence, making her a true vision of style and confidence at the Met Gala.”

“My biggest fashion moments at the Met Gala, has to start with Cardi B. Constantly under-rated, I think Cardi B is someone I always look forward to seeing on the Met Gala red carpet. She understood the assignment and ate it up! Her dress by Windowsen filled the the whole width of the carpet and for me was a different take on the theme away from the obvious flowers seen adorning so many of the other attendees. Complimented with a mass of diamonds and emeralds, I love that she didn’t go for the obvious make-up choice too, instead choosing a flash green liner to finish off the final look.
Other stand out moments include Elle Fanning’s incredible ethereal Balmain masterpiece, Colman Domino in Willy Chavarria – its a lot harder to lean into a theme with menswear without it looking like a fancy dress costume – the silhouette of this look with the cape is stunning – 10/10! Also Tyla in Balmain – such a clever take on the fairytale and couldn’t fail to mention the unbelievable Iris Van Herpen gown worn but Mona Patel – absolutely incredible work by stylist Law Roach.”
Kamilla Jones, Lecturer in Fashion, Business and Management at the University of East London said –
“Zendaya’s choice to wear a black couture gown from Givenchy’s iconic spring 1996 collection at the Met Gala was stunning and elegant. The sheer elegance and timeless sophistication of the gown paired with the Philip Tracey headpiece from the Alexander McQueen’s spring/summer 2006 collection, perfectly complemented her natural sense of style and grace. Not only did she pay homage to fashion history with the vintage dress, but she also effortlessly captivated the attention of the viewers, embodying the essence of couture and becoming viral on social media. This serves as a testament to her status as a fashion icon, solidifying her place as one of the best-dressed stars of the evening.”

“Teyana Taylor – This look was stunning. The blonde hair and red really complemented her skin tone and I feel was a look that many were not expecting. I loved this look on her and the fact it was simple, yet dramatic. It was one of my favorite looks for sure.
Cynthia Erivo – This look was stunning. A beautiful mix of broken tailoring which I love. The shirt, tie and blazer look cut, in half with a dramatic skirt really created a look and flow that stood out. The whole look was put together well and the makeup – clean and impactful really added to the overall fit.”
