At just 26 years old, Nigerian-British artist Gabriel Moses has already carved out a space in contemporary culture that few creatives reach in a lifetime. A photographer and filmmaker with a distinctive visual language, Moses is known for his atmospheric, emotionally resonant work that blends high fashion with deeply personal topics. The list of stars and powerhouses he worked with is truly impressive — Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Dior, Nike, Vogue, i-D, Pharrell Williams, Zinedine Zidane, Skepta and Travis Scott among others.
Most recently, he was chosen to design the 2025 BRIT Award trophy, joining a renowned group of past designers including Dame Vivienne Westwood, Tracey Emin, Sir Peter Blake, and Zaha Hadid. For Moses, the design was rooted in memory, specifically, in the sculptures his mother owned. Texture was central to the process, as he translated the tactile richness found in his photography into sculptural form, creating a piece that honours both heritage and artistic innovation.
Now, Moses returns to 180 Studios with a major new exhibition, Selah, showcasing the breadth and depth of his vision. The show features striking visuals from his collaborations with cultural heavyweights, including videos created for Travis Scott, Playboi Carti and Schoolboy Q. Portraits of Slawn, Skepta and Alek Wek further layers to the exhibition.
What sets Selah apart from Moses’ previous shows is its sense of evolution. Alongside his celebrated work, the exhibition debuts an exclusive new series of photographs that have never been shown before. The centrepiece, however, is the premiere of his new short film The Last Hour — a contemplative, cinematic journey that follows one man’s quiet search for redemption and inner peace. Shot in Atlanta, Georgia and commissioned by 180 Studios, the film blends narrative and visual poetry in Moses’ signature tone, offering a powerful meditation on solitude, struggle and self-acceptance.
Selah is open to the public from 28 March to 27 July 2025 at 180 Studios, Wednesday to Sunday, from 12pm to 7pm. Last entry is 20 minutes before closing. The address is 180 The Strand, London. Book tickets here.
Whether you’re a longtime admirer or new to his work, Selah is a striking testament to Gabriel Moses’ talent and a rare chance to step inside the world of one of Britain’s most compelling young artists.
