His Three Daughters Review
Writer-director Azazel Jacobs’s (French Exit, The Lovers) bittersweet story follows three sisters over the course of three days. It centers around the final days of their ailing Father who they come together to be with him in his final days. There is free-spirited Christina (Elizabeth Olsen), Katie (Carrie Coon) a controlling mother who has a wayward daughter and Rachel (Natasha Lyonne) a stoner who never left their father’s home. Jacob’s examines family dynamics and love in the face of grief in a cramped New York apartment. The film is touching and at times funny, and the acting by ‘His Three Daughters’ cast is brilliant. The ‘His Three Daughters’ release date in the UK cinemas was 6th September with Netflix release date in the UK on 20th September.
