Loewe x Hennessy Collaboration – A Final Tribute to JW Anderson
The Loewe x Hennessy collaboration is a fitting farewell to JW Anderson’s transformative tenure at Loewe.
The house of Loewe broke the news this week that JW Anderson’s tenure as Creative Director has come to an end. His work at the fashion house has been a transformative experience for the high fashion industry.
It saw many a collaboration with many dubbing Anderson as the hardest working man in fashion.
He will certainly be missed at the Spanish fashion and leather good brand but before his tenure ends there is one final collaboration. This one is with Hennessy. This marks the first time that Hennessy has partnered with a fashion house and their coming together has resulted in a breathtakingly intricate, limited-edition objet d’art that reimagines Hennessy’s premium Paradis bottle through the lens of LOEWE’s signature craft.
Loewe is known for a focus on craft and inspired by the chestnut burr, Loewe’s artisans have meticulously hand-stitched a leather ‘nest’ to encase the bottle – a symbolic nod to the chestnut wood that once protected Hennessy’s most precious barrels.
Each piece takes 10 hours and with only a select few available around the world it is a collectors item. Mirroring the life cycle of the chestnut and reinforcing the focus on artistry it is available in three hues; anise, ambar and chestnut.
Leather, craft and harmonious cognac converge in this partnership for the most discerning.
