For the latest menswear collection, Pharrell called onold friend collaborator Nigo of fashion brand, Bape. They first collaborated in 2003 when they founded streetwear brands Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream. The following year they collaborated on a eyewear design for the womenswear line by Marc Jacobs at that time. Further collaborations by Pharrell and Nigo ensued.

For the Louis Vuitton Fall 2025 men’s collection, Pharrell and Nigo drew inspiration from the latter’s home country of Japan. We have seen Pharrell present his vision of the Louis Vuitton man, a vision that is at one street influenced but aware of counter-cultures and refinement.

The collaborators love of streetwear was one of the main pulses of the collection shown at the Cour Carrée du Louvre on a circular runway against a backdrop of vitrines boasting the bag line-up from the collection. This was seen in menswear tailoring such as a denim blazer two piece that was at once luxurious but laid-back cool with a relaxed oversize fit and tailoring. The best pieces excelled at being simultaneously well executed but subtle in approach. There was an influence here of workwear and a focus on co-ords.

Pharrell’s Damoflage and twists on the Louis Vuitton Damier check continued to hold sway. Another Pharrell signature was the focus on bags. These were displayed within the vitrines and the Nigo Japanese influence saw well known Louis Vuitton bag silhouettes taken on fabric and embellishment by way of Japanese inspiration such as satin bags, cherry blossom illustration on bags and even jewel tone totes. The Japanese influence also birthed the Sakura necklaces and cherry blossom necklaces.
