Fashion trends come and go all the time, and right now, it’s going straight back to the ’90s. One trend making a serious comeback is the layered shirt trick, a simple yet statement-making styling hack that defined the wardrobes of ’90s icons. Now, the layered shirt look is everywhere again, and it’s getting a fresh update for 2025. Celebrities and style influencers are bringing it back. Stars like Hailey Bieber and Jacob Elordi have been spotted layering oversized flannels over tops, while fashion TikTok is filled with tutorials showing how to perfect the balance between slouchy and styled. Brands are also leaning into the trend, offering lightweight over shirts in everything from linen to satin, ready to throw over a simple base layer.

Makes the outfits even more unique than they already are and adds a touch of difference. It’s also perfect for the weather, when you want options for changing temperatures.
