I Am A Fashion Intern And Here Is How To Wear The Red Trend 2024
Undoubtedly the red 2024 trend has become the ultimate it-girl colour of the season. Whether it be through small accents or a bold red lip, this colour is everywhere, and we are here for it. Red is a neutral on the runway and every day.
Hair, jewellery, tights, shoes, socks- the possibilities with red are endless and it makes any outfit from 0 to 100 and even better, it is borderline impossible to look bad when wearing red. My personal favourite ways to include red in my everyday wear are through a monochromatic outfit with a red shoe or sock to just add a pop of attention yet when I am feeling more bold, I tend to lean more towards a red statement coat such as a trench or a biker jacket- both also hot this season.
Designers could not get enough of the red and red carpets were flooded with red gowns and honourable mentions to Valentino and Vivienne Westwood of course who turned to maximalism rather than a pop of the hot colour.
Feeling casual? I pair a red trouser with a plain t-shirt and maybe a red and gold earring and the possibilities with this particular silhouette are endless. My favourite up and coming brand incorporating the casual side of red has to be manymanyclothes who have created a white and red striped trouser, short, and even tank top (yearning to wear these in summer).
Even a red tank top with a blue jean is as casual as ever yet add a pop of red jewellery and this takes the look to the next level. You can see how well this works in the look below.

If you are not one to take risks, experiment with a monochromatic black or white look with red tights, red trendy sneakers or a red shoe and slowly use this to creep out of your comfort zone. Red tights would be a great feature to underpin a red look just like below.

Some honourable mentions of my favourite red pieces:
1. Red and white striped top, Many Many Clothes: £28
2. Raspberry bucket hat, Emma Brewin, £320
3. Red bonnet, Paloma Wool, €80
4. Red and orange statement ring, Susmies
Whether you wear it dressed up or casually, have fun with red, it is a trend that might be here for a bit longer.
