Phoebe Philo Is Back
Six years after her hiatus from Celiné, Phoebe Philo has officially returned to fashion. Whilst at Celiné she turned it into the IT label for the IT girl. Philo is back and this time at last under her own eponymous brand. It looks like the sway she has still stands as it has only been a day but a lot of the key designs have sold out quickly. Philo is known for her prowess at designing trousers so it is not surprising that some of the first to sell out were her ‘Drop Jeans’ in black (see below image) and her ‘Milanese Trouser’ in berry. Other key items include outerwear, oversized aviators, big shouldered blazers and a ‘Mum’ necklace in gold or silver. Both have sold out. The gold can be seen as pictured below.
Philo is back and is doing things her way. She is not following the standard fashion calendar which is refreshing and instead of designing collections is releasing what she refers to as ‘edits’. Her first outing, a 150 design strong edit entitled A1 will only be followed up with the next edit in Spring 2024.
