Press samples live the life.
They get to twirl on red carpets as worn by celebrities (whose stylists/management lend them from fashion houses) across the globe. They get snapped a flurry of flashbulbs and grace the pages of leading magazines. They go from one editorial fashion shoot to the next. They are never in one place for a long time.
We are fascinated by the lives of these samples and the journeys they make from when they are born in fashion houses till when they are retired.
The ‘Sample Stories’ will tell some of these stories and shine a light on some of the fascinating journeys they take. The design, the inspiration behind it, who made it and a look into a day of the life of that sample piece.

The client – Hollywood based British model and actress Tolula Adeyemi, muse to Vivienne Westwood.
The design story of the sample – “The inspiration was movement, flow… so with pleats its always somehow straight forward how to use them or how they are used… I wanted to give them “new life” and play with them so that the whole dress is made of pleats, with a woman body in mind so it fits perfectly but at the same time to allow total movement… so when you are in the dress the pleats give you uplifting energy…like a bird!” – Ana Sekularac of UnShe
Our thoughts – We fell in love at first sight. It is the exact shade of purple. It is Ana’s refined luxury womenswear. It is her ability to make pieces that look as light as air. It is the movement that it affords. It is the fact that it is simultaneously strong but fragile. It is beautiful. It is fit for any starry film premiere or Cannes red carpet. It is Ana’s way with elegance and getting dressed up. It is Ana Sekularac. It is UnShe.
